Adult Acne can kill you

I have been meaning to write a blog about something important but that is not happening.  So instead of I am going to blog about my daily experience.

First I need to explain that I am suffering from adult acne.  It is embarrassing and annoying.  In a week a leave to be a fan reporter for an Archery World cup event. About a week ago I decided I needed to deal with it.  I found a container of Tazorac, prescription acne medicine and decided to use it.  On Sunday (two days ago) I woke up with my skin felt tight and about 4 pm my whole face starting peeling.  I was going to Bible study that night and felt I needed to improve my appearance.  I washed my face and saw a little sample container from Lush marked Amer. Cream.  I grabbed it and started rubbing it into my face.  Immediately I recognized the smell but took a few seconds to recognize the smell.  It was conditioner and I remembered that American Cream is the name of the conditioner I bought from Lush.  That is when the burn started.  Conditioner is not meant for your face.

It burned and hurt and made my face even redder.  Adult acne is not for wimps.

Who am I?

I thought I should start with a description of myself and what I hope to cover in my blog.

First off why Rancher Nikki? Well, in early 2011  my husband and I were working at jobs that were no longer satisfying, living in California when we wanted to be in the country and were generally not as happy as would should be.  We were given the opportunity to work on a ranch for the summer and jumped at the chance.  In December of 2011 we moved to Wyolorado (Colorado and Wyoming, we are right on the border) and are living on a ranch full time.  I admit, this is kinda crazy.  Who decides to become a rancher when they are already in their 30s?

In addition to ranching I have a number of interests.  I love the internet, gaming, reality tv and crafts.  My current crafts including Lampworking (melting glass with a torch to make beads and pendants) and quilting.  I hope to include a little of everything in my blog.  I actually am intimidated at the idea of writing so hopefully I can overcome that fear.
